Director Harish Raj, who was recently in news for controversy over the release of his movie Gun, was detained and interrogated by the High Grounds Police yesterday afternoon (Thursday, May 26). The police were on a lookout for the Kannada actor, who was absconding after Gun producer Murali filed a cheating case against him at the High Grounds Police station in Bangalore.
According to the Police, they were in search for Harish Raj for the past few days. The actor was not available at his Vasanthnagar residence. He had even changed his mobile number. They arrested the director-cum-producer on Thursday afternoon when he was vacating his Vasanthnagar house. Later, he was taken to High Grounds Police station for interrogation.
However, Harish Raj has slammed the reports of hiding stating that he was busy shooting for his next movie. Talking to the reporters, the director said, "All these days, I was busy shooting for B Ramamurthy's upcoming film Nighooda in Madikeri''. Meanwhile, he said that Murali attacked him at his residence and physically assaulted him. He further claimed that he even tried to kill him by throwing a huge stone.
