Huduga Hudugi actress Sowmya assaulted by an ex-cop

Actress Sowmya of Huduga Hudugi fame was brutally assaulted by an ex-police constable and her alleged boyfriend Anil Kumar alias Rahul on Tuesday evening (November 29). She has suffered injuries on neck, right hand, stomach and abdomen and the 23-year-old is being treated at Baptist hospital.

Sources say that Anil, who is married to Rajani and has a kid, has been in live-in relationship with Sowmya from past two years. He accidentally became a friend of her and their relationship started blooming after they started living together at Judicial Layout. In fact, after getting dismissed from the constable job, the actress was looking after his requirements.

It is said that Anil had applied for divorce from his first marriage and Sowmya had allegedly spent money for the legal proceedings. However, their relationship hit the rocks, when Anil started doubting and abusing the actress about her movements. This made her to walk out from the house.

Yesterday, Anil stabbed Sowmya with a knife after he saw her chatting with two male friends. They instantly rushed her to the hospital. Reports say that her condition is critical and she is kept in Intensive Care Unit.

However, Anil shocked the police, when they went his residence to arrest him. He threatened to blast a cylinder and urged them to stay away. But the police spoiled his attempt by entering the house by breaking open a window. During the process, he himself cut his abdomen.
