The failure of Kannada films in 2009 had made many distributors quit their profession, but the revival of the industry in 2010 has been attracting them back. Especially, the huge success of movies like Aaptharakshaka, Porki, Prithvi, Krishnan Love Story, Pancharangi, Jackie, Super and Mylari has instilled a new hope in them. Now, many distributors have come forward to buy the distribution rights of Shivaraj Kumar's much-expect movie Jogayya (Jogaiah).

If the rumours in Gandhinagar are to believe, the distribution rights of Jogayya have already been sold out and some self-employed professionals, who have some previous trade connections with the industry, are said to have bought them for a whopping amount of Rs. 1.80 crores. Sources claim that this is almost equal to the price offered for Puneet Rajkumar's Jackie. Even its audio rights are said to have fetched more money than Jackie.

Director-turned-producer Prem's Jogi was a Blockbuster movie at the Sandalwood Box Office. Its title track 'Jogi Jogi...' and 'Hodi Maga Hodi Maga...' are very popular even today. Now, Jogayya is the sequel to this hit movie. Moreover, Jogayya is the 100th film of Shivaraj Kumar. So the expectations for the film are very high, which has made the Sandalwood distributors go crazy about its distribution rights.

However, Jogayya team is currently busy with the shooting for its talkie portions and this work is said to be completing today (19th January). Producer Rakshita and director Prem have already finalised the locations for song shoot. After finishing the talkie portions, they are planning to go for picturisation of the songs. The movie is expected to release in April 2011.
