Manjari Phadnis to debut in Kannada with Dilkush

Actress Manjari Phadnis is trying her luck in South Indian films after she failed to get a big break in Hindi. She has acted in a couple of Tamil and Telugu movies and now she is making her debut in Kannada films through Prashanth Raj"s next directorial Dilkush. She will star alongside Arya 2 fame Navdeep in the Kannada flick.

It was reported earlier that actress Konkana Bakshi was supposed to make her debut with the movie Dilkush, but it is not clear why she was replaced with Manjari Phadnis. Manjari was recently in Bangalore for a promo-shoot of the film. Talking about the movie, the actress said that she was not aware of Konkana playing the lead role in it.

Manjari Phadnis says that director Prashanth approached her with the project Dilkush. She was impressed with the script. She agreed to act in the movie immediately after she heard the narration from him. Now, she is thrilled to work with actor Navadeep. She says, “Navdeep is so popular in Telugu. It"s a good opportunity to work with him."

However, Dilkush is trilingual movie, which is made in Kannada, Tamil and Telugu. Director Prashanth Raj is making his comeback with this movie after the film Gaana Bajaana. Manjari Phadnis is playing a cool college going girl in the film. The Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na actress is all excited about her debut movie. She says that she will start shooting for it from July 11.
