Nithyananda gets restrained Sathyananda release

Producer Madan Patel has created lot of curiosity among the movie buffs with his latest production Sathyananda, which is said to be based on the life of Swami Paramahamsa Nithyananda. But the release of Kannada film has been stayed by the Additional City Civil and Sessions court after self-styled godman filed the defamation suit against its makers.

Nithyananda had filed an Interlocutory Application seeking to restrain producer Madan Patel from releasing the film Sathyananda. His counsel KV Dhananjaya argued that the producer had promoted the film in his name and also had launched verbal attacks on him. The counsel further pointed out that despite doing all this, he swore before the court that he did not know who Nithyananda is.

Nithyananda's senior counsel had also sumbitted the posters of the film Sathyananda that carried the picture of the godman. After hearing Dhananjaya's arguments, Additional City Civil and Sessions Court Judge Ashwath Narayana passed the restraining order against the release of the much-anticipated film.
