Director Shivakumar S making a film on Sarvajna

Sarvajna is a famous poet of 16th Century and is known for his Thripadis (three-lined poems). The wandering monk had written more than 2000 poems, which are even relevant to the present generation. Now, director Shivakumar S has planned to do a movie based on the life of philosopher Sarvajna. This upcoming historical film has been titled Sarvajna Mathomme Huttiba.

In addition to direction, Shivakumar S has also written the story and screenplay for the movie Sarvagna Mathomme Huttiba, which is produced under the banner of Mathrubhumi Creations. Dr BS Swamy has penned the dialogues, while Raj Bhasker wrote the songs for this film. The specialty of the movie is that 300 Vachanas of Sarvagna are being used in this flick.

A well-trained actor is said to be making debut as hero in the film Sarvagna Mathomme Huttiba and Srinivasamurthy, Pavitra Lokesh, Tara and others will be in the supporting cast. The shooting for the movie is expected to begin very soon. Shivakumar has planned to hold its shooting in places like Talkad, Rani Bennur, Hairani Mata, Moorusavira Math Hubli, Kedarnath, Badri, Kashi and the Himalayas.

However, director Aroor Pattabhi had made a movie called Sarvagna Moorthy 46 years ago. Produced by Niranjan Chitra Narendra Babu, the film was based on Sarvgna and it featured late Dr. Rajkumar, Harini, Mynavathi and Varadaraj in the leads. It was well received by both the movie buffs and critics. Now, it should be seen whether the latest movie on Sarvajna will impress the present generation or not.
