Shivaraj Kumar fans attack theatres screening Jogayya

Kannada actor Shivaraj Kumar's fans attacked two theatres at Hospet in Bellary, where his much-anticipated 100th movie Jogayya was to start screening in the midnight of 18th August. Seven fans were injured when police resorted to lathi charge to disperse a crowd that had gathered in front of a cinema hall.

Director Prem had announced that his latest movie Jogayya would be released in Meer Alam and Lakshmi theatres around 2.30 am on Friday, 18th August and around 5,000 fans had gather in front of one of the two cinema halls. They went on a rampage after the theatre owners did not start the screening on scheduled time.

Irked Shivaraj Kumar fans started throwing stones at the cinema halls. Four police personnel were injured and glass panes of the theatre were damaged. Two police vehicles were set on fire by the crowd. Finally, police had to resort to lathi charge disperse the angry fans crowd.
