Uppi's Godfather brings AR Rahman to Kannada

Oscar Award winner AR Rahman, who worked in quite a few Kannada films in his early days as a musician, is all set to take the Kannadigas by storm. Yes, the Mozart of Madras will be making his debut in realstar Upendra's forthcoming movie Godfather.

A source close to the development has said that AR Rahman has given his consent to score the music for Godfather. It also adds that the music director will compose original tunes for Upendra starrer film. It is said that cinematographer PC Sriram played the key role in bringing him to the Sandalwood.

Meanwhile, the shooting of Godfather is in brisk pace. Currently, the movie unit is filming a song in the Abbaiah Naidu Studios. The movie, which is a remake of the hit Tamil movie Varalaaru, also features Soundarya, the daughter of actress Jayamala and Simran in the female leads.
