Upendra-Prem starrer Director to kick start on 18th September

It is well known that popular actor-cum-directors Upendra and Prem are coming together for a film titled Director, which is being produced by Munirathna. According to the producer, the upcoming movie will be launched on September 18, which happens to be the birthday of Superstar Uppi.

The movie Director is a remake of Mohanlal-Meena starrer Malayalam film Udayanu Tharam, which is all about two friends, who aspire to become a great actor and a director. Earlier, Munirathna had planned to start this film on 9th February, but Prem was busy at the moment. So he had to postpone the movie launch.

Prem is currently giving finishing touch to Shivaraj Kumar's 100th film Jogayya, which is slated to release on 12th August. Prem is ready to give his call sheet for the film Director in September. Meanwhile, Upendra is also working on K Manju's next Godfather. He is expected to finish his portions before September 18 and join the team of Director.
