Real star Upendra and director-cum-producer Prem's first combo movie in Kannada has reportedly been put on hold due to some unknown reason. The film was to be a remake of hit Malayalam movie Udayananu Thaaram. And it was to be produced by none other than Munirathna. Now, the sources claim that project has been shelved and another alternative project is being envisaged.

Earlier, it was rumoured that Super actor Upendra would play the lead role in the remake of Mohanlal-Meena starrer hit Malayalam movie. Instead of direction, Ee Preethi Eke Bhoomi Melide star would essay an important role in it. Sources had claimed that the Pooja and Muhurtha of this remake would be held on February 09.

But now, the rumours are making rounds in Gandhinagar that the planned muhurtha of the Kannada remake has been postponed to an unknown date. Meanwhile, it is also rumoured that Upendra is now busy with the post-production works for Tamil and Telugu versions of Super. He would start shooting for Malayalam director Aneeesh Varma's film in March after completing the works of Super. He would be teaming up with Malayalam actress Bhavana for the film.
