Real star Upendra and Ramya's forthcoming movie has been titled as Katari Veera Surasundarangi. The actor himself has confirmed that they will be seen in the title roles in the movie, which is produced by Munirathna.

Speaking to a leading daily, the actor has announced the title and denied the rumours, which claimed that Katari Veera Surasundarangi is a remake of Malayalam movie Udayananu Tharam. Upendra claims that the forthcoming movie has an original story, which is penned by him along with Janardhan Maharishi.

Uppi further explains that Katari Veera Surasundarangi has no links with late Dr Rajkumar's yesteryear superhit movie Katari Veera. Talking about his role, Upendra says that he will be seen in three different avatars that shows him in Naraka (Hell), Swarga (Heaven) and Bhuloka (Earth) in the comedy film.

Katari Veera Surasundarangi is directed by Suresh Krishna of Kadamba fame.
