launched
at
grand
function
in
Abbaiah
Naidu
Studios,
Bangalore
on
April
28.
The
Kannada
superstar
has
already
completed
the
movie
except
the
filming
of
songs.
Recently,
he
finished
the
shooting
of
climax
portion
of
the
movie.
Gandhinagar
pandit
say
that
Godfather
is
the
costliest
film
of
Upendra.
The
climax
sequence
was
shot
in
a
kalyana
mantap
in
Doddaballapur
near
Bangalore.
According
to
sources,
nearly
1500
junior
artists
were
used
for
the
shooting
of
the
climax
fight
scene.
Uppi's
costumes
were
bought
by
stylist
Ramesh
Demla
in
Hong
Kong.
The
movie
Godfather,
which
is
a
remake
of
hit
Tamil
movie
Varalaaru,
is
produced
by
K
Manju
and
directed
by
debutant
Sriram.
Upendra
is
playing
three
roles
like
father
and
two
sons
in
this
film.
Actress
Jayamala's
daughter
Soundarya
is
debuting
as
the
heroine,
while
actress
Catherine
appears
as
another
heroine.
However,
the
highlight
of
the
film
is
that
Oscar
winner
musician
AR
Rahman
is
composing
music
for
the
songs,
written
by
Upendra,
Dr.
Nagendra
Prasad,
Kaviraj,
Yogaraj
Bhat,
Jayanth
Kaikini
and
K
Kalyan.
The
movie
is
being
shot
in
Madikeri,
Bangalore
and
Switzerland.
