Ilayathalapathy
Vijay
is
all
set
to
release
his
latest
movie
Velayudham
this
Diwali.
The
much-anticipated
Tamil
film
will
hit
850
screens
across
India.
It
is
gracing
100
theatres
in
Karnataka
and
this
number
is
more
than
the
number
of
a
medium
budget
Kannada
film.
It
is
the
latest
non-Kannada
movie
to
violate
rules
of
Karnataka
Film
Chamber
of
Commerce
(KFCC).
The
KFCC
has
several
rules
regarding
the
release
of
a
non-Kannada
film.
According
its
terms,
a
non-Kannada
film
should
be
released
in
25
theatres
in
Karnataka
and
it
should
be
released
only
after
six
week
after
its
release
in
its
respective
state.
But
rule
is
often
broken
thereby
causing
loss
to
many
Kannada
films.
Why
non-Kannada
filmmakers
don't
understand
the
rules?
Is
it
because
the
people
in
the
KFCC
have
become
dumb
spectators?
The
reason
seems
to
be
crystal
clear
that
they
are
all
after
money.
The
man
behind
the
release
of
Velayudham
in
Karnataka
is
producer-cum-distributor
K
Manju,
who
himself
is
an
active
membership
in
the
KFCC.
When
he
does
not
have
respect
for
the
rules
of
KFCC,
who
the
hell
will
care
for
them?
However,
Paramathma,
Sarathi
and
several
other
Kannada
movies
are
doing
a
good
business.
Along
with
Velayudham,
two
other
biggies
like
Ra.One
and
7aam
Arivu
are
now
set
to
invade
Kannada
film
industry
this
Diwali.
If
other
two
also
acquire
100
theatres
each
in
Karnataka,
will
there
be
any
theatres
left
for
new
Kannada
releases?
Will
the
KFCC
wake
up
from
its
slumber
and
take
a
serious
step
to
save
the
industry?
