Vijay says he charges Rs. 1.5 crore for a film

Powerstar Puneet Rajkumar, who is getting Rs. 3.5 crore remuneration for Paramathma, is the highest paid actor in Kannada film industry. After him, Black Cobra Vijay is the second highly paid Kannada actor and the Duniya star himself has confirmed that he is charging Rs. 1.5 crore for a film.

In an interview with the Times of India, Kannada actor Vijay revealed the figure of his salary. He said, “1.5 crore is what I take for a film, no more, no less." Meanwhile, he also confessed that he does not know how profitable his films are. So he has planned to launch his own production house to figure out his marketability.

However, Vijay is basking on the success of the movie Johny Mera Naam. Currently, he is acting in two action oriented films like Jarasandha and Bheema Teerada Hantakaru. But he says he wants to take a break from action flicks. He wants to choose lighter films like romantic comedies or dramas, which will be liked by all audiences.
