Vivek Oberoi's dad bringing back Dr Rajkumar

Suresh Oberoi, the father of actor Vivek Oberoi, is enacting the role of late Dr Rajkumar in the film based on the Sandalwood superstar's kidnap drama titled Veerappan Attahasa. The Bollywood actor has now opened up on his role and how he prepared for the toughest character of his life.

Speaking to the Times of India, Suresh Oberoi said that he stopped eating non-vegetarian food after the movie took off. He also did not consume liquor and gave up smoking. In fact, he was having simple vegetarian food and wore ordinary clothes. To immerse himself into the Rajkumar's character, he started doing meditation and prayed the late Kannada superstar to help him.

He further explains, “Before every shot, I prayed to him and in one of the scenes, in which I am taking leave of Veerappan, I felt the spirit of Dr Rajkumar come into me and, at that moment, I wasn"t Suresh Oberoi."

AMR Ramesh directorial Veerappan Attahasa stars Arjun Sarja and Ravi Kale, who will be essaying the roles of real life police Vijayakumar and Sandamarai Kannan in the film. The movie has Yuvan Shanker Raja's music, Dilip Subbaraya's stunts, Vijay Milton's camera work, Antony's editing.

Dr Rajkumar, his son-in-law SA Govindaraju and two others were kidnapped by poacher and smuggler Veerappan on 30th July, 2000. Kannada Matinee Idol was kept in the dense forest for 108 days until Veerapan's demands were fulfilled.
