Dandupalya rocks at Box Office

Pooja Gandhi's crime-drama Dandupalya has done a surprising collection at the Box Office. The movie, which was released on June 29, has managed to do a good business in the opening week.

The buzz is that Dandupalya, which was opened to mixed reviews, has collected more than Rs 4 crore in the first 10 days. The movie has attracted the mass audience. Especially, it is getting good response from the Hyderabad-Karnataka region and Kolar district. In Bangalore too, the movie is doing good business and the business at the B and C centres are excellent.

Dandupalya was released in above 100 screens on June 29. Pooja Gandhi's bold scenes and the hardcore content are said to be the attractive part of the movie. The movie is made with a decent budget and sans superstar, it has become one of the commercially successful movies of the year. The release of Sudeep's Telugu movie Eega and Ganesh's last week release Romeo have not affected the Pooja Gandhi's movie.

The movie is based on the real life incidents of notorious gang named Dandupalya - A name of a village situated on the Bangalore-Chennai National Highway four. They were feared for spreading terror in and around Bangalore by slitting the throats of women and the aged before robbing them.
