Darshan fans ransack a theatre in Davangere

Fans of Darshan turned violent after the screening of blockbuster Sarathi was halted due to technical reasons. The incident happened in Davangere on Sunday around 6.45 PM.

Sources say that Sarathi screening at Pushpanjali cinema hall was stopped following some technical troubles after the show was started at 6 PM yesterday. The fully-packed house was shocked when the theatre management halted the show around 6.40 PM announcing the cancellation of the screening.

Irked by the decision, Darshan fans shouted slogans against the management and ransacked the cinema hall thereby breaking chairs and window panes. Soon, the cops intervened and took control of the situation by resorting to lathi charge.

Darshan and Deepa Sannidhi starrer Sarathi is the biggest hit of 2011. It is directed by Dinakar and produced by KV Satya Prakash.
