Kahaani Kannada version put on the back burner!

The South Indian version of Bollywood film Kahaani has been making noise for a while. While the Tamil-Telugu version is likely to fall into the laps of either Anushka Shetty or Nayantara, Ragini Dwivedi has been in the race to play the female lead in the Kannada version. However, the buzz is that the Sandalwood version is unlikely to happen.

If reports are to be believed, the Kannada version of Kahaani is on the back burner. The makers of the film had earlier approached Ragini Dwivedi to play the pregnant woman played by Vidya Balan in the original. The actress was reportedly interested to take up the project. But now the revenue sharing between the movie bosses has made them to put the film on hold.

Kahaani was directed by Sujoy Ghosh and it featured Vidya Balan, Parambrata Chatterjee, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Indraneil Sengupta, Saswata Chatterjee and others in the cast. The story of the film revolves around a pregnant NRI woman's relentless search for her missing husband.
