Chennai
Rhinos
beat
Karnataka
Bulldozers
by
one
run
to
lift
the
Celebrity
Cricket
League
(CCL)
2012.
It
was
a
nail-biting
match,
which
kept
the
spectators
on
the
edge
of
their
seats
till
the
last
ball
of
the
match
at
Rajiv
Gandhi
International
Stadium,
Uppal,
Hyderabad.
Having
won
the
toss,
Chennai
Rhinos
decided
to
bat
first.
Vikranth
made
95
runs
and
remained
not
out,
which
helped
the
Tamil
Nadu
team
to
end
with
161
runs
on
the
board.
On
their
turn,
Karnataka
Bulldozers
started
on
a
right
note
by
scoring
23
runs
in
the
first
three
overs.
Shiva
slowed
down
their
run
rate
by
taking
two
wickets
in
the
first
two
overs.
With
less
than
35
runs
on
the
board,
Karnataka
Bulldozers
lost
three
big
wickets
of
Rajeev,
Bhaskar,
and
Pradeep.
Then,
Dhruv
and
J
Karthik
took
the
responsibility
of
bailing
out
the
Karnataka
team
from
the
trouble
and
they
almost
succeed
in
the
mission.
Karnataka
Bulldozers
needed
10
runs
to
win
the
match
in
the
last
over.
Unfortunately,
Vikranth
bowled
out
Dhruva
in
the
first
ball
of
the
over.
In
the
next
few
balls,
the
Karnataka
team
managed
to
score
eight
runs
and
lost
three
wickets
and
lost
the
match
by
one
run.
It
is
disappointing
for
the
Karnataka
Bulldozers
to
lose
the
finals
back-to-back
against
the
same
opponent.
Last
year,
they
had
lost
to
the
Tamil
Nadu
team
by
25
runs.
