Bangalore:
Shivaraj
Kumar's
star
power
seems
to
be
working
big
time
for
Shiva,
as
the
movie,
despite
getting
thumbs
down
from
critics,
is
attracting
the
audience.
Well,
the
movie,
which
raked
in
approximately
Rs
4.5
crore
in
first
three
days,
has
continued
its
dream
run.
The
buzz
says
that
the
collection
of
Shiva
was
steady
on
Monday
(August
27)
and
it
ran
into
packed
houses
in
main
theatres.
The
responses
from
North
Karnataka
and
Mysore
are
excellent
but
the
South
Canara
region
has
let
down
the
expectations
of
the
producers.
The
heavy
rain
in
the
coastal
region
has
played
the
spoilsport,
say
sources.
Shiva
had
an
average
occupancy
of
60%
on
Monday
in
major
theatres,
but
the
response
at
multiplexes
were
not
up
to
the
mark.
The
movie,
which
was
released
in
225
screens
in
Karnataka,
has
collected
more
than
Rs
4.5
crore
(nett
Rs
4
cr)
in
the
first
weekend.
The
occupancy
for
the
single
screens
for
Shiva
in
Bangalore
is
approximately
100%
and
around
85%
at
multiplexes
in
the
first
weekend.
The
movie
directed
by
Om
Prakash
Rao
and
produced
by
KP
Srikanth,
stars
Shivaraj
Kumar-Ragini
Dwivedi
in
the
leads.
