Sudeep turns down Dy CM Ashoka's offer to enter politics

It was often reported that Sudeep would be entering politics. In the last few years, his friendship with some of the leading politicians has raised many questions on his political plans. However, Kiccha took the audio launch function of Varadanayaka to announce his stand.

Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minster of the state, R Ashoka was the chief guest at the music release function of Varadanayaka. Speaking at the function, the politician said that Sudeep is a talented actor and he has achieved a lot in film industry. I wish that people like Kiccha enter politics to bring change in the society, claimed Ashoka.

He further added that as an actor Ashoka likes Sudeep and he invited Kiccha to take a plunge into the politics. The Home Minister ended on a note that he would not ask Sudeep to join the BJP rather it is up to the actor to decide which party to join.

Responding to his request, Sudeep said that often it is rumoured that he was willing to join politics. But the reality is that he never aspired to be a politician.

Sudeep said, "I would like to thank Home Minister Ashoka for offering me to enter politics but at this stage, I don't wish to enter politics."

Sudeep said that there is a lot to achieve in film industry and he wants to work for the development of Sandalwood. By saying this, Kiccha politely turned down the offer.

Varadanayaka is a remake of Telugu film Lakshyam. The forthcoming film stars Chiranjeevi Sarja, Sudeep, Sameera Reddy and Nikeesha Patel. It is directed by Ayyappa P Sharma.
