Actress
Tara
has
taken
the
reins
of
Karnataka
Chalanachitra
Academy
from
director
TS
Nagabharana,
whose
tenure
came
to
an
end
recently.
The
actor-turned-politician
is
excited
to
be
the
new
president
of
the
film
academy.
Sharing
her
delight,
Tara
said,
“I
am
really
happy
and
looking
forward
to
take
the
responsibility.
I
am
proud
of
heading
a
department,
which
I
am
familiar
with.
For
the
next
three
years,
I
will
be
holding
this
position.”
Tara
claims
that
she
will
be
following
the
footsteps
of
Nagabharana,
who
was
behind
many
successful
programs
like
Belli
Hejje
and
says
that
the
actress,
despite
this
new
role,
will
be
acting
in
films
because
the
people
of
Karnataka
recognised
her
as
an
actress.
“It
is
because
of
this
fact,
I
have
got
an
opportunity
to
serve
Karnataka
Chalanachitra
Academy.”
Finally,
she
thanked
the
government
for
giving
this
opportunity
and
praised
her
husband-cinematographer
HC
Venu
for
supporting
her
all
through.
