Upendra's
Godfather,
which
has
been
in
the
making
for
over
a
year
now,
is
finally
ready
for
release.
The
upcoming
Kannada
movie
is
all
set
to
hit
the
screens
for
Varamalakshmi
festival
i.e.,
on
July
27.
Sources
have
said
that
the
makers
of
the
film
have
finally
zeroed
in
on
the
release
after
several
round
of
discussions.
To
cash
in
on
the
Varamahalakshmi
festive
weekend,
they
have
decided
to
release
Godfather.
It
is
also
said
that
the
movie
will
have
a
large
release
like
Uppi's
recent
movie
Katariveera
Surasundarangi.
If
you
can
look
back,
the
movie
was
in
news
a
few
months
ago,
when
producer
K
Manju
was
desperate
to
release
Godfather
before
Upendra's
another
movie
Katariveera
Surasundarangi.
He
wanted
his
movie
to
make
it
to
screens
before
the
Munirathna
produced
movie,
as
the
former's
movie
hit
the
floors
a
year
ago.
However,
their
dispute
ended
in
peace
after
both
the
filmmakers
found
a
working
solution.
The
movie
also
managed
to
draw
the
audience
attention
after
music
director
AR
Rahman,
who
has
composed
the
music
for
this
movie,
came
to
Bangalore
to
launch
the
audio
album.
The
upcoming
movie
directed
by
PC
Sriram
is
a
remake
of
Tamil
superhit
movie
Varalaaru,
which
starred
Ajith
Kumar.
The
Kannada
version
also
features
Soundarya
Jayamala
and
Catherine
Teresa.
