Katari Veera Upendra waves his sword at Niranjan Shetty!

Upendra, who is overwhelmed with the opening day response from the audience for his Katari Veera Surasundarangi, is heading for a legal battle against little-known actor Niranjan Shetty. The Real Star is planning to sue the Jolly Days actor for falsely accusing Uppi of plagiarism charges and dragging to the court.

Recently, Niranjan Shetty brought a stay on Katari Veera Surasundarangi claiming that the story of the film was written by him. He alleged Upendra and Munirathna of plagiarism charges. According to him, through music director V Manohar he had met the Real Star and narrated a story titled Yamendra v/s Upendra to Uppi in 2004. But in the court, it was proved that the story of KVS was nothing to do with Niranjan's story.

After getting cleared for the release from the court, Upendra has now reportedly decided to file a defamation case against Niranjan Shetty.
