Real Star Upendra on Monday (May 14) paid a visit to Udupi in order to calm down the tension created by Katari Veera Surasundarangi, which is being alleged of showcasing the Hindu demigods in a bad taste.

The actor met Sri Lakshmivara Tirtha Swamijiof Shiroor mutt, who is leading the protest in support with Bajarang Dal and Sri Rama Sene. After the meeting, Upendra said to have agreed to chop those scenes, which hurts the sentiments of the Hindus thereby requesting to allow the screening of Katari Veera Surasundarangi, which was halted on Saturday in Udupi.

Later, Upendra visited Sri Krishna Mutt and expiated (Tappu Kanike or an offering made for one’s mistakes) the presiding deity. It may be recalled that producer Munirathna and distributor Rockline Venkatesh travelled to Udupi and had a meeting with the Hindu groups yesterday.

Meanwhile, Upendra, Ramya and Ambareesh starrer film is doing good business at the Box Office.
