Veena Malik apes Marilyn Monroe!

Veena Malik is putting her best efforts to ensure that her forthcoming Kannada film Dirty Picture: Silk Sakkath Maga should be a better product than Vidya Balan's The Dirty Picture. The Pakistani actress, in order to draw the audience attention, seems to be cautiously choosing her costumes, as her role should ooze sensuality.

In the latest posters, Veena Malik has aped yesteryear Hollywood actress Marilyn Monroe, who is often remembered for her famous scene from The Seven Year Itch, where her white dress blew up above her knees by a passing train. The Pakistani actress has tried to create the same magic in the latest picture in which she will be seen doing a similar kind of act in a red dress. However, it has not impressed many and has failed to create the desired results.

Dirty Picture: Silk Sakkath Maga, which was launched officially on Wednesday (June 13), is based on the real life story of yesteryear sex siren Silk Smitha and it features Tamil actor Parthiepan and newcomer Akshay. But it is not a remake of Vidya Balan starrer The Dirty Picture, which was loosely inspired by Silk. It is directed by newcomer Trishul and produced by Venkatappa, who is also the father of the hero of the film.
