Actress Tara becomes a mother of baby boy

Actress-turned-politician Tara and her cinematographer husband HS Venu welcomed a new member to their family. The couple became proud parents of a baby boy.

Tara delivered a baby boy on Friday (February 1) 2.30 PM at Global Hospital in Kengeri, Bangalore. "It was a normal delivery. Both baby and mother are doing fine," said Dr Gurumurthy of the hospital.

Tara, who is 43, and HC Venu's baby was born through surrogacy using the IVF (in-vitro fertilization) technique. It may be recalled that Bollywood star Aamir Khan and his wife Kiran Rao had also welcomed their son, who was born through IVF technique.

The National Award winning actress, MLC and Chairperson of Karnataka Chalanachitra Academy, Tara, who has acted in over 50 films, married noted cameraman HC Venu in 2005.
