Aindrita Ray In Bengali Remake Of Sudeep's Only Vishnuvardhana
Bangalore lass Aindrita Ray is all set to make her Bengali debut with the remake of Kannada movie Only Vishnuvardhana, which was released in 2011. The comedy-suspense thriller, which had Sudeep, Bhavana, Priyamani in the important roles, will be made in Bengali with Jeet in the lead role, and is likely to be titled as Bachchan.
Speaking to a leading daily, the actress has confirmed the news and said that she is very happy to make her debut in Bengali film industry with a remake of Kannada movie.
Aindrita said, "It is a complete coincidence that my first Bengali film happens to be a remake of a Kannada film. I think this symbolises me, for these are the two languages that I connect most to." The movie will be directed by Raja Chanda.
Only Vishnuvardhana, which was directed by Dwarkish, was a tribute to South Superstar and Kannada matinee idol Dr Vishnuvardhan. The movie was praised for having a terrific script, which had sustained the interest of audience till the climax. After Lucia, Govindaya Namaha, Googly, Bachchan and others, Only Vishnuvardhana has joined the list of Kannada movies that will be remade in other language.

Aindrita To Essay The Role Of Bhavana
Aindrita said, "The hero, director and banner are the best that Bengali film industry can offer. I couldn't think of anything bigger in terms of a debut. I'm slated to start shooting for this film early next month. I will play the role originally essayed by Bhavana."
Aindrita Was Eagerly Waiting To Debut In Bengali Film Industry
"I've always contemplated making that debut in Bengali film. My relatives who live in Kolkata know I'm an actor, but they've always quizzed me on when I'd act in a Bengali film," Aindrita adds.
Aindrita To Explore Roots In Bengali Films
Aindrita said, "This debut allows me to explore my roots. The Bengali film industry has grown immensely in terms of budgets and reach too."
Jeet Had Offered Role For Aindrita
Aindrita also said that she had met Jeet earlier in Celebrity Cricket League (CCL), where he had offered her a role in his movie. But, due her busy schedule in Sandalwood, she could not take up the project.
Only Vishnuvardhana
Only Vishnuvardhana was directed by P Kumar and produced by Dwarkish, who was a close friend of Dr Vishnuvardhan. He also talks about their friendship in the movie.

Bollywood baddie Sonu Sood made his Sandalwood debut with this movie. He played the role of Aadhishesha, who locks horns with Sudeep.
