Anushree's On-Screen Debut

Anushree, who became household name in Karnataka with famous TV reality show Kannada Bigg Boss, has geared up to make her on-screen debut. Anushree came to light as an anchor with Comedy Show, Comedy Killadigalu.

Anushree will be making her debut as an actress with Sandalwood's forthcoming movie Benki Potna, which is directed by TK Dayanand. Pro-Kannada activist Narayana Gowda, who heads Karnataka Rakshana Vedike is producing the movie.

Talking about her role in Benki Potna, Anushree said, "I had ten film offers, nothing impressed me. When Dayanand sir narrated the story, I felt special and accepted the offer." She also added that her mother was wondering whether she would be able to do justice for the role.

"My role is so different, which made my mother to wonder whether I am able to do justice for the role or not," she adds. Presently, the crew is busy with the cast in rehearsal for the film.

It is reported that the movie Benki Potna is set in the rural backdrop for which the crew has scheduled 35 days of shooting in Mandya and other surrounding rural areas. Anushree is playing village girl in the movie.
