R Chandru to direct superstar Nagarjuna in Charminar remake!

R Chandru is going places. The director, who has delivered hits like Taj Mahal and Mylari, is game for his debut in Telugu film industry. The interesting part of the story is that he will be directing none other than Telugu superstar Nagarjuna.

Confirming the news, R Chandru claimed that he is likely to remake his forthcoming Kannada movie Charminar. He says that a Telugu producer has approached him after watching his Ko Ko and Mylari. The producer has liked the story of Charminar and he wants to remake it in Tollywood.

R Chandru further adds that the producer has Nagarjuna's dates and he is likely to direct the superstar in the Charminar remake. Prior to that Chandru will be screening the film to Nagarjuna. Currently, the filmmakers are busy with DTS mixing and the first copy is expected to be ready after Sankranthi.

Charminar stars Prem Kumar and Meghana Gaonkar in the lead roles. It is an romantic-drama written, directed and produced by Chandru himself. While Hari is composing the music, Gurukiran will be composing the background music. KS Chandrashekar is the cinematographer of the upcoming Kannada movie.
