After
Pizza,
yet
another
Tamil
film
is
ready
to
be
remade
in
Sandalwood.
Karthi's
2010
hit
film
Paiyaa
is
all
set
for
the
remake
with
the
rights
fetching
a
huge
amount
for
the
producers
of
the
Kollywood
flick.
If
reports
are
to
be
believed,
the
remake
rights
for
the
Kannada
version
has
been
sold
for
Rs
20
lakh
to
J
Prem
and
Pranav
Gowda.
The
movie
bosses
have
also
sold
the
rights
of
Hindi
and
Bengali
versions
that
have
fetched
Rs
80
lakhs
for
the
producers.
The
Bengali
version
starring
Soham
Chakraborty
and
Koel
Mullick
has
already
been
made
and
the
shooting
of
the
Kannada
version
is
likely
to
start
soon.
The
photoshoot
is
already
completed.
Chiranjeevi
Sarja
will
be
stepping
into
the
shoes
of
Karthi
and
the
hunt
for
the
female
lead,
which
was
played
by
Tamanna
Bhatia
in
the
original,
is
on.
It
is
said
that
a
newcomer
will
star
opposite
Chiru.
Ajith
will
be
directed
by
Mahesh
Babu,
who
has
replaced
Purushotham
of
Modalasala
fame
for
unknown
reasons.
It
has
to
be
noted
that
the
duo
had
earlier
worked
together
in
Chiru.
However,
it
is
surprising
to
note
that
Chiranjeevi
Sarja
is
accepting
only
remake
films.
The
actor,
who
had
starred
in
Dandam
Dashagunam
(remake
of
Tamil
film
Kaakha
Kaakha)
and
gearing
up
for
the
release
of
Varadhanayaka,
the
Kannada
version
of
Telugu
film
Lakshyam,
is
also
featuring
in
the
remake
of
Pizza,
which
is
titled
as
Whistle.
