Darshan-AMR Ramesh Joining Hands For Aaspota

Challenging star Darshan, who is basking in the success of the commercial entertainers like Sarathee, Kranthiveera Sangolli Raayanna, Bulbul and Brindavana has geared up to act in the biopic. The movie will be directed by AMR Ramesh.

It based on the story of Tamil Nadu police chief Karthikeyan, who played the prominent role in the murder case of Indian ex-Prime Minister Rajeev Gandhi. The movie is titled as Aaspota.

AMR Ramesh, who has directed the action thrillers like Cyanide, Police Quarters and Veerappan Attahasa is all set to say action-cut for the challenging star. He said that Darshan is the only actor, who is fit to play the role of Karthikeyan.

Karthikeyan had trapped the culprits Dhanu and gang, who used RDX in Rajeev Gandhi's assassination, in Sri Perambadhoor, Chennai. The incident took place on May 21, 1991, where Karthikeyan had arrested the culprits in few months.

It is also said that Darshan is overwhelmed to don Khaki again, and is all set to work with such a talented director. The actor had donned Khaki in his earlier movies - Ayya, Swamy and Arjun. The actor's fans are eagerly waiting to see him again playing the role of a tough cop. Currently, Darshan is busy with Ambareesha, which has started its shooting recently.
