Girish Karnad enjoyed working in Salman Khan's Ek Tha Tiger

Theatre personality and Jnanpith laureate, Girish Karnad has claimed that he loved to be part of Bollywood blockbuster film Ek Tha Tiger starring Salman Khan. The multifaceted actor had an important role in the film, which was the highest grosser of 2011.

Girish Karnad has said that he realised the importance of his role in Ek Tha Tiger only after watching the film. He said that he loved the role and had a wonderful time working with the team.

"In fact, I joked on the set that I maybe India's answer to Dame Judi Dench. I also consider myself lucky that I am getting such good roles even at this age, and I am thankful for that," the Times of India quoted Karnad as saying.

Girish Karnad played the role of a RAW (Research and Analysis Wing) officer, the boss of Tiger played by Salman Khan and the father figure of Tiger. The film, which was made with a huge budget, earned Rs 200 crores alone at Indian Box Office.
