I'm The Granddaughter Of Bore Gowda: Ramya
Gorgeous Ramya, who is gearing up for her first elections, had never opened up on her personal life or family all these years. But her political entry has forced her to talk about her lineage. It all started after a politician made a cheap remark against her family background for which she has now responded by saying that she is not an orphan.
In one of the political campaigns, Ramya has claimed that she is not an orphan and she has her relatives in Mandya. She hails from the afore-mentioned district and she is the granddaughter of Bore Gowda.
"Many are assuming that I'm an orphan. I'd like to say that I belong to Mandya and people of this district are my relatives. I'm the granddaughter of GS Bore Gowda of Maddur. People of Mandya are my appa (father), amma (mother), bandhu (relatives) and balaga (well-wishers)," Ramya said in the campaign.
"My grandfather was from Maddur and was a former member of the municipal council. I am also from here. I will bow to your wishes and do my best to do whatever the people ask of me," she says. But her claims have created more troubles....find it out in the slideshow...

As soon as Ramya claimed that she is the granddaughter of Bore Gowda, media discovered Bore Gowda's family and asked the family members whether the claims made by the actress are true.

Bore Gowda's first wife Sarojamma has slammed Ramya for claiming that she is their granddaughter. She said, "We neither know Ramya nor her mother Ranjitha."
Ramya's Claims, Politically Motivated?
She continues, "Politically motivated statement. She is using our family name for her personal mileage. I demand a public apology from Ramya and her mother Ranjitha for making fake claims."
Bore Gowda's Wife Wants Ramya To Apologise!
She concludes, "Their statement is an insult to our family. I will file a defamation case against Ramya if they don't apologise immediately."

Meanwhile, producer-turned-politician HD Kumaraswamy, who had apologised when his party member questioned about her parentage, has now changed his stand. He said, "Ramya has claimed that she is the granddaughter of Bore Gowda. Then why hesitate to reveal her father's name?"
