Kamal
Hassan's
latest
film
Vishwaroopam
faced
a
lot
of
troubles
during
the
release.
The
film,
for
the
first
time
in
the
history
of
Tamil
cinema,
was
released
worldwide,
except
in
Tamil
Nadu,
after
the
state
government
banned
the
film
from
its
release.
Following
the
state
government's
ban,
neighbouring
states,
including
Karnataka
government
decided
to
stop
the
screening
of
the
movie
fearing
law
and
order
issues.
However,
after
police
department
promised
to
give
adequate
security
in
theatres
where
the
movie
gets
released,
the
film
was
released
in
Karnataka.
The
state
government's
decision
was
welcomed
by
a
few
Tamil
organisations
and
Kamal
Hassan
fans
considering
that
Karnataka
has
a
lot
of
issues
with
Tamil
Nadu
over
the
Cauvery
dispute.
It
has
to
be
noted
that
Deputy
Chief
Minister
and
Home
Minister
R
Ashoka
said
that
the
government
would
make
arrangements
to
Kamal
Hassan,
who
announced
that
he
would
leave
India
to
some
secular
country
when
his
movie
was
banned
in
Tamil
Nadu,
if
he
wishes
to
reside
in
Karnataka.
Now,
it
was
time
for
Kamal
Hassan
to
show
his
gratitude
to
the
government
and
Kannadigas.
A
few
days
ago,
he
was
in
Bangalore
to
thank
everyone,
who
gave
him
love
and
supported
his
film.

Shows
His
Gratitude
To
Kannadigas
"This
is
not
a
show-off
visit.
This
is
just
a
thank
you
visit
to
show
my
gratitude
to
Kannadigas.
I
am
now
totally
indebted
to
my
audience
for
life," The
Indian
Express
stated
Kamal
Hassan
as
saying
at
the
press
meet.

Aravind
He
claimed,
"I
thank
the
media
for
taking
up
my
issue
like
it
was
their
own
fight.
Because
of
that,
I
feel
emboldened
and
stronger.
Karnataka
has
always
been
an
example
for
the
Tamil
Nadu
government
and
the
country.
I'm
grateful
the
state
fearlessly
released
my
film
on
time."

His
Gratitude
To
Kannadigas
Recalling
his
early
days
in
Bangalore,
he
said,
"Thanks
to
those
times,
K
Balachander
brought
me
here
and
made
a
series
of
films
with
me.
Even
my
first
breakthrough
in
Malayalam
was
from
this
city
through
which
I
could
find
a
good
friend
Ambareesh."
Kamal
Hassan
With
Ramesh
Aravind
"Everybody
knows
about
my
long
association
with
Ramesh
Aravind.
In
fact,
he
knew
about
everything
from
the
day
it
was
a
small
'roopam'
till
it
went
on
to
become
Vishwaroopam," Kamal
Hassan
told
about
his
friendship
with
Ramesh
Aravind.

that
he
would
be
starting
Vishwaroopam
2
and
wants
to
deliver
it
this
year
itself
if
he
does
not
face
any
trouble.
