shares

rapport

Karnataka
and
Sandalwood
will
be
inaugurating
Bangalore
International
Film
Festival
(BIFF).
The
inauguration
of
6th
BIFF
is
scheduled
to
be
held
on
December
26
in
Jnanajyoti
Auditorium.
The
eight-day
film
festival
will
be
organised
in
association
with
Karnataka
Film
Chamber
of
Commerce
(KFCC)
and
Karnataka
Chalanachitra
Academy
(KCA).
The
festival
will
be
screening
145
films
from
45
countries,
which
have
won
awards
at
Major
International
film
festivals
such
as
Berlin,
Cannes,
Karlovy
Vary,
Moscow,
Venice
and
Toronto.
Under
the
Old
Classics
revival
section
Bimal
Roy's
films,
Samurai
films
from
Japan
and
Neorealism
films
from
Italy
will
be
screened.
Dr
Rajkumar
movies
will
be
the
main
highlight
of
the
festival.
Many
Indian
filmmakers
and
critics
from
all
over
the
Country
are
expected
to
participate
in
the
event.
BIFF
also
includes
the
presentation
of
a
bunch
of
highly-acclaimed
Asian
films
from
China,
Korea,
Japan,
Kazakhstan,
Philippines,
Bangladesh,
Sri
Lanka
and
Indonesia.
The
movies
screenings
have
been
organised
at
different
venues,
which
include
three
screens
in
Fun
Cinemas,
two
screens
at
Fame
Lido,
Sulochana
at
Department
of
Information
and
Priyadarshini
at
Badami
House
(KCA
Premises).
