Puneet Rajkumar To Romance Trisha Krishnan In Dookudu Remake!

Power Star Puneet Rajkumar's forthcoming movie, which is the remake of Telugu hit Dookudu is making a huge buzz even before its shooting. After Kelly Dorje, the crew has roped in another star to play the female lead.

It is reported that the Kollywood queen Trisha Krishnan has been zeroed to play the female lead in the remake of Dookudu. The actress is paired opposite Puneet Rajkumar in the movie.

It is said that since Sandalwood is a small film industry, remuneration was the big thing for the Kannada movie makers to rope in big stars to play the lead roles. Now, the makers of Kannada remake of Dookudu has paid Rs 1 crore for the Trisha, who is flooded with many offers in other South Indian film industries. The remake movie is being produced by Ram Achanta, who had also produced the original movie.

Producer Ram Achanta has confirmed about Trisha's remuneration. He had produced Telugu movie along with Gopichand Achanta and Anil Sunkara. Dookudu is the 2011 Telugu action comedy drama, which had Mahesh Babu and Samantha Ruth Prabhu in the lead roles. It was directed by Sreenu Vaitla. Meanwhile, Puneet Rajkumar has wrapped up Ninnindale, in which he is paired opposite Mumbai lass Erica Fernandes.
