Dr Rajkumar-Vishnu Were The Only Heroes: High Court Judge

Isn't Sandalwood missing Dr Rajkumar? People of Karnataka lost the legendary superstar of Kannada in 2006 and since then, there has not been any face to lead the industry or any actor, who could have made a great impact on audience like the Annavaru.

Surprisingly, the same thoughts were echoed by High Court Justice, Ram Mohan Reddy. According to him, Dr Rajkumar's films were enjoyed by every section of audience and people used to learn from his movies. But the present day films are in bad taste.

In the modern days, movies are just made to earn quick bucks and filmmakers are least bothered about the social impact that films make on audience. Like Dr Rajkumar, late Vishnuvardhan used to make meaningful movies and they were the only actors in Sandalwood, who knew about social impact of movies on public. But the present-day actors neither takes inspiration from them nor they have learnt from the legendary stars of Kannada films.

Talking about Blockbuster Mungaaru Male, Justice Ram Mohan Reddy questioned the impact of the film on public? "Was their a message in the movie? Apart from entertainment, there was nothing in the movie," the HC judge was quoted as saying.

He put out his opinions when 2010-11 State Awards, which has been asked to be withdrawn over errors by the High Court, case appeared before him.
