Saritha Apologises To Media

South Indian actress Saritha was in limelight for opposing her ex-husband Mukesh's marriage with a Malayali dancer Methil Devika. The actress had also claimed that the marriage is illegal as she and Mukesh have still not got divorce in the court.

The yesteryear actress, who suddenly maintained silence about the issue, was even out of reach from media for few days. Saritha has now opened up, and explained the reason behind her silence for all these days.

Speaking to a leading daily, Saritha said, "My apologies for not responding to all your requests by mails and text messages. As you must have concluded yourselves I was quite shocked by the sudden unexpected turn of events and needed some time to formulate an appropriate response. As my eldest son is doing Medical Sciences 4th year and is taking exams at the moment, I strongly feel there should be no added stress or external pressure on him at this time."

Saritha had married Malayalam actor Mukesh in 1988, and the couple were blessed with two children - Sravan and Thejas. She was separated from him and settled abroad with her children. It is said that the duo got separated due to marital discord. Continue reading the story on slides...

Saritha refused to discuss the issue as it is under the judicial consideration. She quoted, "Moreover, I am not able to discuss details as the matter is sub judice."

Saritha said, "We are still in a state of shock as we had no prior knowledge of this until the press release."

Actor Mukesh had married Mithil Devika on Friday (Oct 25, 2013), in a small function, which was graced by the family members and close friends.

"We hope for your support in these trying times, and I will get back to you all soon after my son's exams are finalised," she added.
