Shahrukh Khan is ready to cast a magic spell on audience again. The Bollywood superstar is game for the release of his latest movie Chennai Express. In Karnataka, where he enjoys a huge fan following, the film is grandly welcomed by the cine goers.
The advance booking for the paid shows have been fantastic, say sources. In Bangalore, the tickets in the multiplexes are almost sold out. A member from a leading multiplex said, "As always, there is a huge demand for the tickets in this region,"
He continues,"We started advance booking a few days ago and in no time, tickets were sold out for the Thursday's paid preview shows. Tickets for the next three days are likely to be sold out by today (August 9) evening."
Multiplexes have increased number of screenings to meet the demand. In what could be a record for a preview show, Shahrukh Khan's Chennai Express is having around 80 screenings between 6 pm and 10 pm in Bangalore.
A trader said, "Multiplexes like PVR Cinemas and Cinema Total Mall are completely dedicating the majority of screens to Chennai Express. In the afore-mentioned cinema halls, there are 12 shows in the evening." Continue reading the story on the slideshow...
Chennai Express Gets At least 4!
The trader adds, "At least, four screens are dedicated to Chennai Express in the majority of multiplexes. It could probably be a record number of screenings considering that the first screening of the film is happening in the evening."

He adds, "The Chennai Express fever has gripped Bangalore and in the next three days, it will have record number of screenings. Not only in the Silicon City but also in some of the other parts of Karnataka the film is getting the same reception,"

Early reports arriving from Mangalore also suggests the same. Like Jab Tak Hain Jaan, the Karnataka region is likely to have a record-breaking collection.

Jab Tak Hain Jaan (JTHJ) made record-breaking collections in the Mysore region. The main share of income had come from Bangalore.
Aum Movies has bought the distribution rights of Chennai Express for Karnataka region. It has acquired the theatrical rights for Rs 4.50 crore.
Chennai Express is getting a three-day weekend with Thursday evening show being bonus. Traders predict that the Shahrukh Khan movie is likely to set a new record at Box Office worldwide.

Firstly, Tamil movie Thalaivaa starring Vijay and Amala Paul is releasing on August 9. The film has got a good number of screens for its release in Karnataka and it will affect Chennai Express to some extent.
Tony To Face Chennai Express Heat!
And Kannada movie Tony starring Srinagar Kitty and Aindrita Ray is also releasing on August 9. Though it is not as big as Chennai Express or Thalaivaa, the Sandalwood movie is expected pull the local audience into theatres in huge numbers.
Chennai Express is directed by Mangalore-based Rohit Shetty. The film has Sathyaraj, Nikitin Dheer, Manorama, Kamini Kaushal and others in the cast.
