Bollywood star Shahrukh Khan had a great weekend in Karnataka. Especially, the Hindi movie made a wonderful business at Bangalore Box Office. Traders had expected the Bollywood flick to affect other films including Veena Malik's Kannada movie Silk Sakkath Hot. But luckily it did not impact any movie which has made everybody happy.
Veena Malik's Silk Sakakth Hot has been going through a lot of troubles after the release. There were several groups who objected the movie and protested at various parts of Karnataka. An organisation moved a court and tried to ban the Kannada movie. Nonetheless, the Sandalwood flick survived even after facing those troubles.
Last weekend, it was believed that Shahrukh Khan's much-anticipated Chennai Express to affect a lot of local movies. It was said that the Hindi movie would take away a lot of screens from Veena Malik's sensuous Silk Sakkath Hot. But as the Kannada movie had audience's blessing, it continued to rock at the Box Office.

Highest-Ever For A Shahrukh Film
It is said to be the highest-ever for a Shahrukh Khan movie in Bangalore. On Sunday (August 11), Chennai Express garnered Rs 1.90 crore from the Mysore region.
On Saturday, the collections for Chennai Express were better than Sunday. It garnered Rs 1.95 crore from the Mysore region.
The collections for Chennai Express in the Mysore region on Monday (August 12) saw a huge dip as it was a working day. The Hindi movie raked in Rs 0.75 crore at the Box Office.
The theatrical rights of Chennai Express for the Mysore region is with Aum Movies. They reportedly acquired the rights for Rs 4.5 crores.
Silk Sakkath Hot
Well, coming back to Silk Sakkath Hot, Veena Malik's movie is going strong at collection centres. It has so far collected more than Rs 4.5 crore (nett) at the Kannada Box Office. It is still running in above 20 screens in Bangalore.

Traders say that it is undoubtedly the presence of Veena Malik in Silk Sakkath Hot which is driving audience to the theatres. Despite getting thumbs down from critics, the Kannada movie has managed to win at the Box Office.
What's Working For Silk?
Veena Malik's dare bare scenes have become a crowd puller. The actress has done a few intimate scenes and sported revealing outfits in Silk Sakkath Hot.
Meanwhile, Srinagar Kitty's Tony has also done well at Kannada Box Office. Despite facing competition from Chennai Express, Silk Sakkath Hot and Tamil movie Thalaivaa, it has managed to do good business in the opening weekend.
