Shashank Directs Puneet Rajkumar

Shashank, who is basking in the success of this year's release Bachchan starring Sudeep, has directed Puneet Rajkumar. Wondering which movie? Well, as we all know, his former associate BM Giriraj is making his directorial debut in Mythri starring the Power Star and Mohanlal. In the same movie, he has directed Puneet.

The Bachchan director will be seen in his real-life role of a director in Mythri. Speaking to a Kannada daily, Shashank Raj said, "It's a small role. I could not say no to Giri when he asked me to act in the movie. My protegee is directing Puneet Rajkumar before me. I consider this as a 'guru dakshina'."

He concludes, "I'm not an actor. There is no guarantee that my presence in the movie will boost the business. Hence, I have acted for free! And it is my friendship with Giri that made me accept the movie."

Mythri is produced by Vajreshwari Kumar. Malayalam actress Bhavana is playing the female lead role in the movie.
