Shobha Karandlanje, Next CM!

Politician Shobha Karandlajee, who is active in Karnataka Janata Party, has been selected as Chief Minister of Karnataka. Don't be surprised, the politician is all set to make her acting debut with Kannada's upcoming TV soap CID Karnataka in which she is playing the role of Chief Minister.

Earlier, it was actor Chandru, who played the lead role in the play 'Mukyamantri', and became famous as 'Mukyamantri Chandru' in Karnataka. Now, it's Shobha Karandlaje, who is all set to become Chief Minister in TV serial and fight corruption.

Talking to a leading daily, Shobakka revealed, "It's just that even as a minister I have stressed on strengthening special police forces to bring to book anti-social elements. And I felt that this would be a good platform to reiterate the need for such agencies and hence came on board."

CID Karnataka, which deals with different cases in each episodes, features Sachin Suvarna of Encounter Dayanayak fame in the lead role. It also features Veena Ponappa, Nagendra Shah, actor Sourav Lokesh and Vijay Jetti in the important roles.

It is said that apart from Shobha Karandlaje, the crew has also planned to rope in Bollywood actor Sunil Shetty, Hattrick Hero Shivaraj Kumar and actor Kishore, to play a cameo role in the serial. CID Karnataka will be aired in Zee Kannada every Saturday and Sunday from December 21st at 10-11 pm.
