Shubha Punja To Perform Daredevil Stunts For Meenakshi

Actress Shubha Punja, who was seen playing the role of girl next door in Kannada movies, will shortly be seen in action avatar in her forthcoming movie Meenakshi. The actress is paired opposite Raghu Mukherjee for the first time.

Shubha thought performing the action scenes was an easy task, but she realised the pain only after she performed it. She was seen as the female lead in the action thrillers like Slum Bala, Anjadiru and Kanteerava.

Talking to a leading daily, Shubha said, "It was always fun to watch heroes performing action sequences. While I always thought it was quite an easy task, I realised the pain only when I got to perform those stunts. However, I was excited since this is the first time in my career that I am doing action scenes."

It is reported that Shubha will be seen in two different roles. She will be seen as a simple girl in the first half and in the second half she will be seen performing stunts. Stunt choreographer Danny has trained Shubha even before the crew has started the shoot.

"Danny sir gave me some pointers and taught us some tricks that helped us to avoid getting injured. Since I've always been regular at the gym, I didn't require much fitness training," Shubha added.
