Breaking News: Upendra to direct Bigg Boss Sudeep

Upendra has finally opened up on his next directorial film. The Real Star, true to his name, has come out with a stunning information about his next film. Hold your breath! Uppi is not acting in his next film rather he has decided to direct a top Kannada actor. Yes, you have guessed it right. He is teaming up with none other than Kiccha Sudeep.

The Real Star is making the film in three languages - Kannada, Telugu and Tamil. The success of Eega made Uppi to choose Kiccha to play the lead role. They have been in talks for a while and finally they have locked in the script and they are ready to start the project in May 2013. The technical team is being selected and a couple of big names from Hollywood are part of the the film.

Upendra said that he always wanted to work with Sudeep. Now that the Huccha actor has a good fan following in all South Indian film industries, he chose him to star in the film. According to Upendra, the film will be set in Mangalore and Dubai. When asked about the female lead role, the director-turned-actor said that he is yet to finalise the female lead role but declared that five heroines will be part of the movie.

Mary Vogt, costume designer of Men in Black series, is designing special costumes. Peter Ming of China and Thriller Manju will provide the daredevil stunts. Australian Rising Sun Pictures (RSP), who mesmerized us in the Harry Potter series, are in charge of the VFX, and will be supervised by Srinivas M Mohan.

HC Venu and Gurukiran will be handling music and cinematography departments, respectively.

However, as announced earlier, the film will not be produced by Upendra himself, as his plans have been changed. A leading producer from Tamil has come forward to make the film.
