Upendra-Shivamani Join Hands For 'Directed By Upendra'

Actor-director Upendra and Shivamani have joined hands after a six years, for the Sandalwood's forthcoming movie Directed By Upendra. They are likely to start the shooting of the movie in March 2014.

Directed By Upendra is the third collaboration of Upendra and Shivamani, who gave movies like Omkara (2004) and Masti (2007). It is reported that director Shivamani has finalised the story and screenplay regarding the upcoming Kannada flick with Uppi.

Omkara and Masti, which was the combination of Upendra and Shivamani, had dealt with the underworld. Omkara had Preethi Jhangiani and Masti featured Jeniffer Kotwal as the female lead.

Meanwhile, Upendra is awaiting the release of Brahma, which is slated to release by November end. The movie is directed R Chandru, and apart from Upendra the movie has Pranitha Subhash, Rahul Dev and Sonu Sood in the key roles. The movie will also be released in Telugu.

Upendra, who is wearing the director's hat after three years is all set to start the shooting of Uppi 2 in December, which will be produced by his actress-wife Priyanka Upendra, under his home banner Upendra Productions. The shooting of Directed By Upendra will begin only after Upendra completes all his on-going projects.
