Upendra's Shrimathi Releasing In Telugu As XYZ

Superstar Upendra is not only well-known actor in Sandalwood, but also has huge fan following in Andhra Pradesh. The Real Star's last directorial venture Super has become super-hit at the Tollywood Box Office. Now, he is gearing up to release the dubbed version of his Kannada movie Shrimathi starring Celine Jaitley and Priyanka with him. Titled XYZ in Telugu, the film is expected to hit the screens very soon.

Shrimathi is a remake of Akshay Kumar's Hindi movie Aitraaz, which is all about a successful businessman, who is leading a happy life with his wife. Just when everything is going his way, his ex-girlfriend walks back into his life. She accuses him of rape, after he rejects her sexual advances. How his wife, who is an advocate, proves his innocence will form the crux of the story.

Upendra has played the businessman in Shrimathi, while Celine Jaitley and Priyanka appear as his ex-girlfriend and wife respectively. Now, Gajula Manikya Rao has bought the dubbing rights of this Kannada movie and planned to release it as XYZ under the banner of GMR Entertainments. With the Kannada version being a below average grosser at the Box Office, it should be seen how its Telugu version will perform at the ticket counter.
