Upendra's long hairs have been very popular among the audience. The hairstyle of the Real Star was imitated by his die-hard fans. Now, the actor, who is known for surprising audience, seemed like he had gone bald for his forthcoming movie Basavanna.

In the latest posters of Basavanna, Upendra will be seen sporting red-colour dhoti with the sacred thread (Janivara in Kannada) which ran from left shoulder to waist, along with rudraksha beads, vibhuti and a sword.

This look of Upendra created sensation among the audience and some even linked the avatar of the Real Star to Chanakya. However, many thought that the actor has finally gone near-bald pate. But it is far from truth.

Upendra claims that the styling team has used prosthetics to give him such a look. It took almost three hours for the makeup and two hours to undo it, adds the Real Star.

Sources add that as Upendra had to work in other projects, the actor could not go bald. Hence, the makers of the movie decided to use prosthetics to give me that look.

Basavanna also stars Ragini Dwivedi. It is directed by Srinivasa Raju of Dandupalya fame and it is an action film revolving around rowdyism.
