Is Kamal's Vishwaroopam similar to Upendra's Swasthik?

Is Vishwaroopam similar to Kannada movie Swasthik? This is the question raised by the hardcore fans of Real Star Upendra on Twitter. The Tamil film, which has been grandly welcomed by Kannadigas in the state, is an action-thriller, which deals with terrorism.

Fans of Upendra buzzed him saying that they found similarities between Swasthik and Vishwaroopam. A fan of the actor tweeted him, "I found similarities sir....but both movies are good movies. Only difference is you made the film on terrorism many years ago."

The Kannada film, which was made 13 years ago, was a milestone film in Uppi's career and had won applause for the brilliant screenplay and direction. The story of the Sandalwood film was about a CBI officer, who draws public and media attention as a terrorist but fights against the terrorism. In the movie, the hero played by Raghavendra Rajkumar was brought up by terrorists but serves for the wellness of the nation.

Whereas, Vishwaroopam is about a RAW (Research and Analysis Wing) agent, who fights against the terrorism. The story is set in America and Afghanistan. Well, it has to be noted that there were similar debates between Rajinikanth's Endhiran and Uppi's Hollywood.

However, the Real Star has praised Kamal Hassan starrer Vishwaroopam. He encouraged his fans to watch the film and tweeted, "Kamal Hassan's Vishwaroopam is not anti-muslim but anti-terrorism, watch in theatres and support the God of Acting, don't view pirated copy."
