Anu Prabhakar Files For Divorce

Sandalwood actress Anu Prabhakar and her producer husband Krishna Kumar have filed for divorce in the family court in Bangalore. It is reported that the duo has filed for divorce under the Hindu marriage act 13(b).

Anu and Krishna Kumar got married on March 1, 2002, in Bangalore. Krishna Kumar is the son of Sandalwood's ace actress Abhinaya Sharadhe Jayanthi and Anu Prabhakar is the daughter of versatile actress Gayathri Prabhakar.

The case hearing is reportedly on January 30, 2014 (tomorrow). The couple had maintained the safe distance from media from many years. Sources said that Anu Prabhakar has also filed for the compensation by demanding Rs 1 crore from Krishna Kumar. Misunderstanding and differences among the couple is said to be the main reason for the divorce.

However, Anu Prabhakar and Krishna Kumar are tight lipped about the issue. It is reported that versatile actress Jayanthi was upset with the development in her family and has refused to talk.

The actress, who made her on-screen debut as a child artist with Chepala Chennigaraya, has won two state awards for her performance in Shaapa and Pareekshe. Apart from many movies, Anu has also appeared in TV reality shows like Baale Bangara, Home Minister, Shrimathi Karnataka and others.
